Ireland Vacations

Ancient castles, cliffs that drop 700 feet into the Atlantic, pubs where strangers become friends, and scenery that looks like it was designed specifically to make your jaw drop. Ireland gets under your skin in a way very few places do.

Why Ireland?

Plan Your Ireland Vacation With an Expert

Ireland packs an extraordinary amount into a small island. In a week you can go from the buzzing streets of Dublin to the wild Atlantic coast, from medieval castles to modern craft breweries, all while meeting some of the friendliest people you'll ever encounter.

I've walked Dublin, explored the countryside, and found the spots that most tourists miss entirely. My Ireland trips aren't generic — they're built around what you actually love.

Ireland Highlights

The Places You Can't Miss

Georgian architecture and historic buildings in Dublin
County Clare
Cliffs of Moher

700-foot sea cliffs stretching 8 miles along the Atlantic. The most visited natural attraction in Ireland — and worth every bit of the hype, especially at dusk.

The Royal Irish Academy on Dawson Street, Dublin
Capital City
Dublin

Trinity College, Guinness Storehouse, Temple Bar, and Georgian architecture around every corner. Small enough to walk everywhere, big enough to keep you busy for days.

The Irish Countryside

Connemara, Ring of Kerry, Dingle Peninsula — the countryside is where Ireland's soul lives. I build itineraries that get you off the tourist trail and into real Ireland.

Getting Started

How to Start Planning Your Ireland Vacation

You don't need to have it all figured out. Here's how the process actually works.

1

Tell Me What You're Dreaming Of

Have a rough idea — castles, cliffs, pubs, countryside — but not sure how to put it together? That's exactly where I come in. Fill out the quote form with whatever you know so far.

2

I Ask the Right Questions

How long, how many people, what pace, what budget, any special interests? I'll ask what actually matters for building a great Ireland itinerary — not a generic one.

3

You Get a Real Itinerary

Not a brochure. A specific plan with where to stay, what to see, how to pace each day, and what to skip. Built around you.

4

We Refine and Book

You give feedback, I adjust, and once it's right we lock it in. I handle the bookings and you just show up ready to go.

Real Talk

Things Worth Knowing Before You Go

Not the generic stuff you'll find anywhere. The things that actually affect your trip.

Driving in Ireland

You drive on the left. The roads are narrow — sometimes one lane for two cars. But the scenery is so good you'll barely notice. Roundabouts are everywhere. Rent a smaller car than you think you need. And give yourself more time than Google Maps suggests.

The Weather Reality

Ireland has a saying: "If you don't like the weather, wait five minutes." It's not wrong. Pack layers and a proper waterproof jacket regardless of when you're going. June and July have the most reliable weather, but even then, rain is possible. The upside: a rainy day in Ireland still looks incredible.

Beyond Dublin

Dublin is worth 2 days. The rest of the island is worth the rest of your trip. Too many people stay in Dublin the whole time and miss what Ireland is really about. I always build itineraries that get you out of the city and into the countryside — that's where the magic happens.

Ireland FAQ

Planning Your Ireland Trip

Most people find 7-10 days ideal. A week lets you hit Dublin, the Cliffs of Moher, and at least one other region. Ten days gives you room to breathe and actually soak it in rather than rushing.
For the countryside, yes — and yes, you'll be driving on the left. It's intimidating for about 20 minutes, then it feels normal. I can help you decide which parts of your trip make sense by car versus organized tour.
Mild but unpredictable — think layers, not just a rain jacket. Summer (June–August) averages around 65°F and has the most daylight. Spring and fall are beautiful and less crowded. Winter is moody and dramatic if you like fewer tourists.
Absolutely. Ireland pairs naturally with London, Scotland, or a wider UK and Europe trip. I plan multi-country itineraries all the time — just tell me what else you're curious about.
Very much so. It's safe, English-speaking, and has plenty for kids — castles they can actually explore, farm experiences, coastal hikes, medieval history that's genuinely interesting at any age, and a culture that's warm toward children. I can build an Ireland itinerary that keeps kids engaged and adults genuinely happy at the same time.
It's a 1,550-mile coastal touring route along the entire west coast of Ireland — from Donegal in the north all the way to Cork in the south. It's one of the most scenic drives in the world. You don't have to drive the whole thing; most visitors pick a section. The Connemara, Cliffs of Moher, and Dingle Peninsula sections are the most dramatic.
Yes, if you know what you're getting into. October through March means fewer tourists, lower prices, and a moody, dramatic atmosphere that's genuinely beautiful. Some smaller attractions have reduced hours or are closed. The tradeoff is very much worth it for the right traveler — particularly anyone who finds peak-season crowds exhausting.
Absolutely — and it's one of my favorite combinations to plan. Spend a week exploring Ireland by land (Dublin, Wild Atlantic Way, countryside), then board a British Isles cruise that calls at Cobh (the gateway to Cork), Belfast, and sometimes Scottish and English ports. You get the depth of a land trip and the ease of a cruise in one vacation.
